Terms of Service of Zealopia

By loggin in to Zealopia app, you accept our Privacy Policy and agree NOT to:

  • Use our service to send spam or scam users

  • Not share sensitive personal information like phone number, address, location etc. in any communities

  • Promote violence, religion or politics on any community on Zealopia

  • Promote drug use

  • Post illegal pornographic links or promote child sexual abuse materials.

  • Spread harmful misinformation

  • Violate copyright and intellectual property rights

  • Bully or harass anyone including Mental Health Professionals, Fellow Members etc. on any community groups in Zealopia

  • Violate any rules set by the professionals of the communities that you join

 

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service later and encourage you to check this page often.

     Citizens of EU countries and the United Kingdom must be at least 16 years old to sign up.

Terms of Service for Zealopia Paid Groups

Zealopia is an application that provides support groups in the form of chat messages for niched segmented communities both free of charge and at charge. The paid community groups are led by verified mental health professionals that decide their own charges to run the groups.

1. Introduction

Zealopia paid groups are subscription memberships that allow you to be a part of exclusive groups run by professionals. By purchasing a group subscription, you agree that you are authorizing a one-time payment, which will be made to Zealopia using the payment method you selected. The group that you paid for shall be accessible until the end of your subscription period or until the subscription is cancelled by you or cancelled by Zealopia or cancelled by the mental health professional.

Zealopia uses third-party payment processors to securely facilitate purchases of paid group access.

1.1. Payment

You can manage your payments with multiple methods as set up in our payment processors. If your payment has failed, you must try again with a new method. If your money has been deducted but the payment has not gone through, you must reach out to your bank for reversals. Your subscription starts from the date you join any group and lasts until the pre-determined expiry of the group.

1.2. Taxes and Conversion Rates

Users in certain regions may be required to pay local taxes, which will be calculated and added to the total cost of a purchase. Payment providers may apply their own commissions and conversion rates to payments in various currencies. This is outside of Zealopia’s control.

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1. Cancelling a Subscription

You can cancel a purchased access any time after joining a group. To cancel your subscription, you simply need to leave the group by clicking the Leave Group button in the members’ section. You will receive a popup for confirmation with an optional field explaining reason to leave. Once confirmed, your subscription will be considered cancelled without refunds.

2.2 Refunds and Effective Cancellation

Your subscription to a group will remain active from the time you cancel until the expiration of the group, and you will not receive a refund or credit for any remaining days until the expiration date. 

Deleting your Zealopia account or removing the Zealopia application from your device does not cancel your subscription.

3. Termination

3.1. Compliance with the Terms

Failure to comply with the Zealopia Terms of Service may result in a temporary or a permanent ban from Zealopia or some of its services. In such instances, you might lose the access to any or all community groups on Zealopia both paid and free without refunds and we will not compensate you for this loss. The group admins and the mental health professionals have the right to remove any group member, paid or free upon violation of terms without any refunds or compensation for the loss.

3.2. Unilateral Termination

Zealopia can decide to stop offering subscriptions at any time, including in response to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, or to comply with a legal requirement; in this case we will cancel your subscription and refund the prorated portion of any prepaid subscription fee equal to the remaining unused term of the subscription.

4. Taxes, Fees and Refunds

You are responsible for all applicable taxes, data plans, internet fees, and other fees associated with your use of Zealopia.

Generally, all charges for purchases are nonrefundable. It is not possible to get a “partial refund” or credit if a user wishes to cancel their purchase mid-term of usage – it will remain valid until the end of its purchased duration.

5. Changes

5.1. Pricing and Terms

The pricing will always depend on the mental health professional that you wish to join, however we reserve the right to change both these terms and the Zealopia commission fees in effect on renewal of your subscription or formation of new groups, to reflect factors such as changes to our business, different product offerings, or new economic conditions.

5.2. Advance Notice

For the professionals who join us, we will give you no less than 30 days' advance notice of any material changes via a message to your Zealopia account and you will have the opportunity to cancel your subscription before the new fee comes into effect. Any correspondence from the Zealopia Team about change of policy will be sent via official email accounts to the professionals and/or users or via the official Zealopia app.

Such messages from Zealopia will contain relevant information about your subscription or payment status.

6. The Scope of Paid Group Chats

6.1. Included Services

The services included in the Zealopia Paid Group subscription (“Paid Services”) include getting access to exclusive groups and exclusive mental health professionals at an affordable cost while being connected to supporting individuals who understand the user. From time to time, we may add new features into the Paid Group Services. We may also remove some of the existing Paid Group Services if we are no longer able to provide them for legal or Quality or technical reasons. In addition, some Paid Group Services may become free of charge for all Zealopia users in the future.

6.2. Availability

Zealopia strives to make its services available for all users all the time, but occasional technical issues may occur, temporarily preventing us from delivering services, including Paid Group Services, to our users. Zealopia will not compensate you for any direct or indirect loss resulting from our temporary inability to provide any free or paid services.

Paid Group Services are available on major Zealopia clients, such as the official iOS and Android apps. Some or all Zealopia apps made by Zealopia or by third parties may not offer all Paid Group Services immediately after they are launched or at all.

6.3. Software Requirements

Some Paid Group Services may require the latest version of the Zealopia application to be installed on your device. In some cases, users you interact with may also need to have the latest version of the Zealopia application installed on their devices in order to be able to view the content you share with them by the use of Paid Group Services

6.4. The Absence of Advertisements

In certain countries Zealopia shows sponsored messages in one-to-many group chats that are freely available. The subscribers of Paid Group Chats won't see such sponsored messages displayed by Zealopia in the group that they have paid for. However, the paid community group chats on Zealopia are managed by other users, their administrators, who may publish their own content featuring third-party promotions or sponsorships. Only the mental health professional in the group is allowed to share clickable links and approve or reject any message from any participant that comes off as promotional. However, these ads are not part of the Zealopia advertisement platform and subscribers of the paid groups may still see them as a part of those groups.

6.5. Discount coupons in Free and Paid Group Chats

Zealopia Official Group Chats will sometimes offer coupons to free or paid groups as promotional material. These coupons will be valid per the rules of the coupon. Some Mental Health Professionals (Admins) will also be able to sometimes offer such discount codes to people who join their groups. They are free to do so in any form they like including but not limited to competitions, giveaways or maximum interactions. Zealopia holds no responsibility of the way such coupon distributions are hosted.

Admins who sponsored a discount coupon are not entitled to a refund due to reasons such as non-functional coupons or otherwise, if they lose access to their group. Reasons for losing access include but are not limited to being banned, the group being deleted by its owner or restricted by Zealopia due to violations of these Terms of Service or the terms of app stores.

Admins that mislead users into joining by means of discounts or prizes that are later refunded with a third party (e.g., a bank) may be terminated or assigned a scam label and removed from Zealopia search. Subscribers gained as a result of such actions may be removed from the paid group sponsoring the discounts and may be added to an official Zealopia group serving the same group description as a form of corrective measures.

Certain countries or jurisdictions may impose regulatory constraints on discounts, coupons or giveaways. If you as an Admin run a giveaway, you are solely responsible for complying with applicable law. You explicitly acknowledge that Zealopia is not liable in the event of sanctions, fees, and any form of legal or administrative action incurred as a result of or in relation to your Giveaways or Discount coupons provided to you by Zealopia.
